Ladle and tundish is an important auxiliary equipment of steel furnace, is also thermal equipment of consuming the most refractory material . In the past, ladle used to clay brick, high alumina brick, brick and brick etc. to burn brick and build , which life is 10~70 times. When using ladle blowing or continuous casting,because at high temperature and long residence time and other reasons, resulting ladle sharply decline. So it is payed attention to the lining material much and also made remarkable progress.

Anshan Iron and steel converter used in 200t ladle and use alumina magnesia castable to build lining . Ladle life are about 95 times and 80 times; Baosteel converter used in 300t ladle, using high purity alumina magnesia castable to buildlining, the ladle life is generally around 260 times after repair, refractoryconsume below 1.78kg; many steel mills do not use more than 100t ladle with the new technology of aluminum and magnesium refractory castable, the ladle life is about 90 times and the cost of cast is 5.50~7.50 yuan per tonne steel. Tundish lining use insulation board or magnesia coating,the blocking slag is made byMo to stone, aluminummagnesia and magnesia castable refractories. That meet the technology requirement of continuous casting .

Outside furnace refining using whole gun is for ladle blowing argon and ladle spray powder , the part above slag line is casted by High aluminum refractory . slag line to nozzle is casted by low cement corundum refractory , vibrate to be molding ,whole package lining

Shanghai Baoshan Iron and steel used the gun blowing argon , each time 3~5min, each gun life is about 50 furnaces, which is 150~250min; Shougang for dusting, its service life is 30~55min.
